Tag: Silver thread, lemon yellow floss.
Tail: Gold phesant crest and a Chatterer.
Butt: Black Ostrich herl.
Body: In four equal sections Fiery brown, pale blue, claret, and dark blue seal`s fur.
Ribbing: Flat silver and twist.
Hackle: Dark claret from second turn.
Throat A lemon cock hackle followd by Gallina.
Wing: Two tippets back to back covered by a pair of Gold pheseant breast feathers, and those by a broad pair of teal strips, married sections (narrow) of yellow swan or turkey to larger flies, Bustard scarlet, blue, and orange Swan, and Gold pheseant tail, covered by broad strips of Mallard and a Topping if you like.
Cheeks: blue Chatterer or Kingfisher.
Horns: Blue and yellow Macaw.
Head: Black.
This is one of very few Pryce-Tannatt dressings I like, but in my opinon it look's much better with the Chatterer in the tail and also the colors in the body are very nice together. Shame on me...........

Butt: Black Ostrich herl.
Body: In four equal sections, light red-claret,light blue,dark red-claret and dark blue Seal's fur.
Ribbing: Flat silver and lace.
Hackle: Natural black from light claret fur.
Throat A lemon cock hackle followd by Gallina.
Wing: Two tippets back to back covered by a pair of Gold pheseant breast feathers, Teal ,Gold pheasent tail, Gallina, Bustard, Peacock wing, yellow Swan Parrot and Mallard.
Cheeks: blue Chatterer.
Horns: Blue and yellow Macaw.
Head: Black herl.
Mr.Jewhurst was the originator of this famouse fly, which is one of the oldest, (1834) from the beginning known under the name Moon's fly. It was Blacker who give it the name we all know, The Butcher. If you want to know more of this fly, read books, there is a lot's of variations of this fly.
