Tag: Silver twist, light blue floss.
Tail: Gold phesant crest and a Chatterer or Kingfisher.
Body: First half light orange silk, dark orange and dark redclaret seal`s second half dark blue seal`s fur.
Ribs: Oval silver tinsel
Hackle: A coch a bonddu, dyed light redclaret, from orange silk.
Throat A blue hackle and Gallina.
Wings: Teal, Pintail, Gallina, Peacock wing, Amherst and Gold pheseant tail,
Swan or Turkey dyed light and dark orange, claret and dark blue, Mallard and a topping.
Sides: Jungel cook.
Horns: Blue and yellow Macaw.
Head: Black herl


Kelson took credit for this fly, but the original was probably a fly named Poynder created by Cholmondeley Pennell. Kelson's, Captain is almost the same pattern, except he did not use Bustard in the wing, and described the hackle as claret instead of dark. .
