All who wants can send a mail with some words about yourself,
a picture of a Childers, about 30kb and 350x250 pixlar +-20
(ordinary photo size 9x15cm is ok).I´m going to include everyone who will
be a part of this. If there is a large interest, your contribution
will maybe be time limited. Let´s see what happens,
Why a Childers ? Easy! That's one of my favourites.
Why same patterns from all dressers ? It's much easier to se the
difference in style, technique, etc etc when all use the same patterns
So don't hesitate, be a part of it!!
Dress until your finger bleeds............ Wolfgang.

I practice dentistry in Grand Junction, Colorado. Tying Atlantic salmon flies is a recent obsession for me. I began fly tying in Alabama as an eleven year old in 1957 by purchasing a kit from Herter's. I got hooked on salmon flies when preparing for a float trip on the Alagnak in Alaska two years ago. The Alaska Flyfishers pattern book contains several classic patterns. Since then, I have begun collecting the materials and books and studying the techniques. I also practice tying them fifteen-twenty hours each week. My intention is to overcome limited innate ability through constant effort. Jim |
I have been dressing flies for over thirty years (classic salmon flies for about fifteen). I am originally from New York state, but have living in Germany since 1988. Newfoundland has almost 60% of all the Atlantic Salmon rivers in North America, nearly 200 scheduled rivers. |
This Swede (a god friend of me) have been dressing classics for about 14 years. He is dressing a lots of classic fishing flies, and use the Hardy style with low wing profile and god quality. So this one is dressed with Hardy pattern. Arves also dress a lots of Spey and Dee flies. |

This fly is what everyone can see no Childers, but I just have to put it in anyway. Its dressed by David Libby |
I was dressing those two Childers with the same pattern(Kelson), but make them different in style. The one on top(7/0) is as you can see more compact and with a higher wing then the other(8/0). Wolfgang |
