Toucan

To find Toucan" these days ain't easy, there are several spieces and all of them are on the CITES list.
The most popular spieces for flydressing was the Ariel Toucan"Ramphastos vitellinus ariel" " with
the real nice golden yellow color and
Keel-billed Toucan "Ramphastos Sulfuratus! which have a brighter yellow color.

Remember that this is not much of a feather with it's very soft and thin structure,
and you will need at least three or mor on each side for a veiling.
On the pic above, you can see from left to right,
some red yellow that calls for in some flies, Sulphuratus and the Ariel.
Below, ther are some substitutes, from left to right.
Substitute for Toucan
Golden oriel, and two different feathers from the Gold pheasent neck,
from where tippets going over to toppings.
If you find some white or real bright toucan,
it's one of the easiest feathers to dye, just take care it takes seconds.
The two flies below have, top real Toucan and bottom substitute (oriel) .
